Every contribution—big or small—can truly make a difference. Together, we can preserve this beloved community asset for our families and youth
for years to come.
The Lakeview Swimming Pool has been a cherished part of our community since 1952. It serves as a central hub for activities during our high desert summers, engaging Lakeview residents of all ages. Each year, the season kicks off with the onboarding of local teens as lifeguards, where they receive training in CPR, first aid, and pool management. For many of these teens, this is their first job, where they learn valuable lessons in responsibility and work ethic. A pool manager and lifeguards staff the facility six days a week, starting as early as 7 AM for swim team practice and closing at 7 PM.
Throughout the summer, trained lifeguards offer swim lessons to the community. Learning to swim is a lifesaving skill that provides invaluable benefits for a lifetime. Swimmers looking to elevate their skills can join the Lakeview Swim Team (LST), which includes 50 to 75 youth aged 5 to 18. This team keeps our kids active, fit, and conditioned during summer vacation. In addition to lessons, the pool offers lap swimming, swim aerobics, and open swim sessions.
The Lakeview Swimming Pool is more than just a place to cool off on hot summer days; it is a vital community hub that fosters a sense of belonging, well-being, and public safety. It is a gathering place to connect, enjoy, and create lasting summer memories. Together, we can preserve this beloved community asset for years to come.
